Tips for Babysitting Newborns and Babies

Never leave the baby alone or out of your site!

Make sure you know where the diapers are found and how many times a day the baby usually needs to be changed.

3. Don't heat a bottle in the microwave - that can cause pockets of scalding hot milk. Place the bottle in a pot on the stove and heat the water.

4. If the parents have requested the baby eat solid foods, be sure the food is chopped into little cubes or chunks so the baby doesn't choke.

5. Watch what the baby puts in its mouth! Keep small objects away from them.
