Tips for Babysitting Preschoolers

1.
Never leave the child alone or out of your site!

2.
Preschoolers want to touch, smell, taste and hear everything - they learn by experiencing and doing. It's important to incorporate this into your sitting style.

3. Preschoolers are more independent than toddlers. They can express their needs to you as they have more developed language skills. Encourage preschoolers to talk and communicate with you.

4. Children in this age group learn best by doing. You will need a variety of activities to keep them entertained and actively engaged. Their attention span is a bit longer so they can engage in group activities.

5. Be prepared to talk! Preschoolers ask tons of "how" and "why" questions.
